Would you please stop abusing PlanetKDE for ad spam about the QtCentre programming contest? Once was okay, but not five times in a row.
Sorry - this was the last one. As the deadline approaches I just wanted to tell the world about the prizes as I feel that we have been able to get really great stuff as prizes for the contest.
I'll see if I can setup some category system to avoid having these posts on PlanetKDE - right now all my blog entries goes there...
Don't you know when enough is enough?
You make it look like there are no contestants, as desperate as your posts are. And asking just before the deadline makes it look even worse; I mean, can I write an app that can win in a couple of days?
Really, this contest is a joke.
The deadline is two months away, so I'm asking in good time.
If you want to discuss the contest of the quality of it, please get in touch with me - posting anonymous comments to a blog entry doesn't really provide a good discussion form.
As for enough being enough and contests being a joke - those are your words. I disagree with you. Have you even looked at the contest site?
FYI; the first anon is not me. There are thus at least 2 people that have a problem with your spamming.
To answer your question. Sure I checked the website, I would not say its a joke without doing some proper research.
Ok, anonymous 1 and 2 (3?) - I've just covered the four (not five, #1) major prizes - sorry if that spoiled your day and costed you expensive bandwidth.
I would love to have a constructive discussion about the contest, but apparently that isn't going to happen here.
Shouldn't there be GB2X (http://gp2x.co.uk/) as prize and not closed source PSP? :-)
Not having Foogled, I believe that there are Linux ports - ready or under development - for all prices. The iPod and PSP are under development (?) and the MacBook and GreenPhone can run Linux and Qt today.
@Johan: I'm not entirely interested in this contest, but I'm definitely not annoyed by the blog posts. I think the ppl complaining are really just whining ;-)
